Activities and Community for Gettysburg's LGBTQ People

Gettysburg Pride is in new hands — and we are all in.

Organizational meeting for all interested participants is March 12 at 6:30 PM at the Unitarian Universalists of Gettysburg at 126 S. Stratton Street, Gettysburg, PA.

A dedicated group of community volunteers has stepped forward to ensure that Gettysburg Pride happens in 2026. We are committed, we are organized, and we are moving fast — but we need your help to make sure everything that was already in motion stays on track.

We are rebuilding our records and want to hear from anyone who had a commitment, booking, or plan connected to Pride Weekend 2026. Vendors, performers, sponsors, permit holders, and volunteers — please contact us.

Time is short, and your voice matters. Pride Weekend is approaching, and every piece of information you share helps us make sure no one is left out and nothing falls through the cracks. Gettysburg Pride has always been built by this community — by people who show up, who reach out, and who refuse to let fear or uncertainty silence the celebration. That is exactly what we are asking you to do right now. If you were part of the plan, we need to hear from you this week. Don't wait and assume someone else has already been in touch. Reach out today, and help us build something we can all be proud of.

We are Pride Gettysburg!

From 1776's promise, through 1863's rededication, to 2026's Pride celebration: the work of creating a more perfect union continues in our time.

As our nation celebrates its Semiquincentennial, Pride Gettysburg Celebration to honors this continuing work to include all Americans in the promise of the Declaration of Independence.

In the Gettysburg Address delivered in 1863, Lincoln called for "a new birth of freedom." He asked us - he asked every generation that would follow - to ensure "that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

With Pride flags and American flags together on the hallowed ground where soldiers fought for equality, Pride Gettysburg (May 29-31, 2026) affirms that LGBTQ+ equality is an essential chapter in the American story Lincoln envisioned.
